About the Artist

Sandie Reed
Jewelry Designer and metalsmith, Sandie Reed, found a passion for jewelry at a very young age. As a small girl , Sandie would sit on the floor behind the counter of the family owned jewelry store in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and assemble jewelry. Her love for the art has followed her thoughout her life. In the early 2000's she owned and operated two brick and mortar shops in the gemstone and jewelry industry. During which time, she also taught jewelry making classes at the Durham Arts Council and in her studio.
Currently, Sandie is a registered licensed argentium artist and a member of the Argentium Silver Guild. Sandie's collections can be found in many specialty shops and galleries.

My Designs
I use old school techniques and hand tools to create each and every piece of jewelry. I am passionate with the movement of metals. My designs are fabricated through a process that allow the metal to move on its own path. Sheet and wire materials are encouraged to respond by utilizing texturizing, forging and fold forming. This can be a slow process but ensures that you will receive a unique and individual treasure. Only the finest metals are used: Argentium Silver, .925 Sterling Silver, White and Yellow Gold along with Eco-Friendly and re-introduced natural diamonds and gemstones.

Inspiration
Much of my inspiration comes from living here in North Carolina. We have a rich history which includes minerals and textiles along with the many beautiful streams, lakes, and trails. From the ocean to the mountains, there is endless beauty. What better inspiration could you have than this for the perfect piece of jewelry? I take pride in each piece I design and try to create a special treasure for you to enjoy. I hope you will be a part of my family for many years to come.
